There are three colours of suits available in brown with an ivory pinstripe, Charcoal with a pale grey pinstrip or navy blue with a pale grey pinstripe.
The suits are what is colloquially described as a demob suit. These were issued free to soldiers on their demobilisation from the armed forces. This is what most people would associate with world war 2 styling. That being padded shoulders, Double breasted with broad lapels and turn ups on the trousers with button fly.
This style of suit is an exact copy of CC41 suit.
The CC41 Utility logo was a British Board of Trade requirement that appeared on footwear, utility furniture, textiles and utility clothing for just over ten years from 1941. Per a 1941 Associated Press article, CC41 meant “Controlled Commodity”, and designated that the item met the government’s austerity regulations.
All suits come with unhemed trousers in a generous inside leg of 35″ to allow to be tailored to your own leg length with or without turn-up
Please specify your exact size of jacket, trousers and colour when ordering. Suits can be finished with your correct inside leg measurements and correct turn up size for an additional cost of £25.
The cost of each suit is £275 plus P&P for a tow piece and £360 plus P&P for a three piece
